Our Favorite Things!

In Quilting by Lisa Burnett

I love Christmas.  I really do.  The smells, the sounds, the lights.  I love all of it.  Except one thing.  What in the world do I get people?   Just thinking about it kind of puts me in a panic.  I always have the vision of giving gifts that are perfect.  Useful, pretty and that are wrapped perfectly.  The wrapped perfectly part is where I struggle the most.  I’m that person on Christmas morning frantically wrapping the last few gifts with whatever paper I can find.  No bows.  No tags.  Probably just a name on the package written with a Sharpie.  It’s not the best.

But…..my mom is a great gift giver.  Last year she gave my sister and I a box full of the cutest little things- lotion, candles, little snacks.  The best part was the presentation.  Every little product had the cutest packaging and the box was so pretty tied in a beautiful ribbon bow.  I know it took her forever to find just the right little things in the perfect packaging and then find a beautiful box to wrap them all up in.  I hope someday I can do that.  But if past experience is a clue to the future, I’m sure I will be getting out my Sharpie on Christmas morning.

We loved that gift so much, we thought it would be fun to find some great items and package them up in a beautiful box for our customers who have the same problem as I do.   I am much better at doing things like this at work than I am at home.  Especially when my mom is helping.  So we came up with a box filled with some of our favorite things.  This box is perfect for so many people.  The Christmas party hostess.  Your favorite sister.  Your best friend.  You mother-in-law who already has everything.  Your son’s favorite teacher. The gift exchange at work.  Your best friend.  Or- you!!! It’s always fun to treat yourself.

When we set out to find items for the box, they had two requirements.  We had to love the product and it had to have cute packaging.  Here is a look at the contents.

This soap smells like heaven.  It’s clean and fresh- and that packaging.  I almost don’t want to use it!  Almost.

You can pack these little beauties into your purse.  Wipe your hands, wipe your face- they are so refreshing and make you feel rejuvenated.  Except for the Sweet Dreams.  That one is supposed to make you feel relaxed.

The cutest candle!  And perfect for winter- the scent is called “Sweater Weather”!

Here is what is in that cute bag:

The cutest little tags.  Perfect for a mini tree or to trim a package.

And how could we skip on chocolate?  Especially chocolate with caramel.  These little bites are packaged in a cute glass jar to reuse when the chocolate is gone.

Now for the outside.  The box will arrive like this.  My mom ties the bows.  You will thank me for this.  I’m not good at it.

The boxes are limited in quantity and will only be available this holiday season.  I know what a lot of you are thinking.  Where’s the projects? The sewing? The patterns?  I know this is a little out of our comfort zone.  There’s not a fat quarter in sight with this box.  But sometimes we just want to try something a little different.  Don’t worry, though.  Fabric, sewing and everything that goes with all of that will be back tomorrow.  You can find the box here.  Have a wonderful Thursday!
