This is our Heart Favor Bag pattern:

We actually used that cute little bag as a May Day favor a couple of years ago, but it is also perfect for Valentine’s Day.  Which made me think- we need RED labels for those.  So now you can get the little name labels in red!

Remember the 25% off Flash Sale ends tomorrow.  Have a great weekend!  By the way, I just realized I actually made a blog entry for 4 days in a row.  I know that doesn’t seem like much, but for me, I am feeling pretty accomplished!  That hasn’t happened, well ever.  My sister just rolled her eyes at me.  Right after she informed me she has been folding patterns for 4 days in a row. Whatever, I’m still feeling pretty good about it!

So when introducing this collection, we will tell you we have been thinking about it for years!  It has been a really long time since we had a Christmas collection, so when we got the opportunity to do this, we were beyond excited.  And oh how I love it.  I think my house will be decorated with “Holly’s Tree Farm” from top to bottom next Christmas.  Here is our inspiration.

Not that we have ever loaded up in an old truck and went to a tree farm to cut our own Christmas tree down, but it’s fun to think about it!  I watched the movie Christmas Vacation a couple of weeks ago and the scene where they cut down their tree totally reminded me of this collection!

There are 4 colorways.  Of course there is red.  Because what is Christmas without red?

We have so many ideas for the light fabric in the middle.  We are planning a quilt pattern with embroidered names in the center of those frames and we can picture applique’ there too.  We haven’t had a chance to do that yet, but we did create a super cute bulletin board with it:

Notice the “Feed Company” quilt in the background.  Yes, it matches perfectly.  Can’t wait to combine the Feed Company with Holly.

Here is the green.  Can’t have red without green!

Pretty sure that print at the top of the stack is my favorite.  We wanted to represent the beautiful store windows that can be seen at Christmas.  We put that print into a cute bag (for next year’s 12 Day’s of Christmas) and we can’t wait to show you.  It is so adorable. But you will have to wait until November for that!

Then there is the gray.  Gray is like hot chocolate.  it goes with everything.

In our last Christmas collection, Countdown to Christmas, we used black instead of gray.  But this time, we wanted a softer look and chose gray with just a little black accent.

And finally, there is the blue.  Blue had to be negotiated.  With my mom.  She is all about traditional Christmas.  Red and green.  Or green and red.  That’s the only two options.  So unfortunately for her, my sister and I just did it.  We forced this beautiful ice blue into the collection.  You see, sometimes you win the 2 on 1 arguments and sometimes you don’t!  But if she were honest, I bet she would admit she likes it.  Besides, there are plenty of prints that are just red and green.  But I can’t resist the blue.

Those two colors are the foundation of many of our fabric collections.  Well, not technically white- but cream.  But I’m calling it white this week.  It was the basis of our very first fabric collection, Authentic.

We then used it in “Mama Said Sew”.

Now, on to our next color.  Blue.  At first, I was thinking that we were going to do an aqua/turquoise contest,  but then I came to my senses.  I pretty much love all colors of blue.  Except for royal blue.  I’m really sorry if I offend any royal blue lovers out there.  But there has to be some color(s) I don’t like.  And royal blue is at the top of the list for me.  So, just so you know, we will never, ever have royal blue in a fabric collection.  Like, ever (thanks, Taylor Swift).

But after I get over my intense dislike for royal blue, all other colors of blue are pretty much my favorite.  My absolute favorite color in the whole entire universe right now is a soft, aqua-type blue.  The exact color that we used in the sashing of one of my favorite quilts.

If I got to redo my wedding, I’m pretty sure this is the color I would choose.

And when we put it with my other favorite blue, navy, I’m pretty much in heaven.  Just like we did in The Boat House collection.

Speaking of navy, I’m a total navy girl.  I’ve got three colors in my closet (I know, pretty boring).  White, gray and navy.  I don’t stray too far from that.  In my humble opinion, navy looks great everywhere.  It is in my favorite flag.

And my favorite uniform.

Not that I care (yeah, right), but training camp starts this week.  Just had to throw that in there.

But she didn’t stop there.  She wanted a little more color, so she added this:

So here is how it works if you want to make one.  I will list everything out cause I kind of got confused when it was explained to me.  So I’m hoping this helps you!

• For the large buntings, you can choose any word you wish in any color- black, red, green, blue, pink or orange.  You can also have a multi-colored one with each letter in a different color.
• You will recieve the iron-on transfers in the word and color of your choice.  The transfers can be ironed to any fabric.  The one pictured uses canvas.  If you would like to order the canvas, you can do so separately from the iron-on transfers. We offer it in 1/2 yard bundles.  1/2 yard will make approximately 18 bunting letters.
• The iron-on transfers come with instructions on how to make the bunting.
• For the smaller triangle bunting, we used Moda Candy.  You can also order that in a variety of fabric collections.
• The “Happy Birthday” bunting for the cake comes in other colors as well.

If you would like to order, you will also have to choose which shape of bunting you would like.  Because of course we couldn’t just stop at one.

And triangles.  By the way, this little boy wasn’t too thrilled to get his picture taken.  He never is, but we did get one with a smile!

One more thing.  The bunting letters are sewn to fabric.  We call it fabric “ribbon”, and you can order it ready to be sewn to the bunting in a variety of colors.

The colorful buntings are available in Wishes, Noteworthy or Road 15.

And that’s not all.  These cuties are my favorite.  We have an alphabet and a number bunting.

I love how the iron-on transfers make it look like the words are actually printed on the fabric.

And we couldn’t do a big project like this without adding a couple of canvas art prints.  We love these at a party by the cake, or in a kid’s room.
