My new bench- well not exactly new since I've had it for about 20 years. I bought it at an auction, stripped the finish and then stained it. Stored it in the garage for awhile and then finally got around to upholstering the seat with red plaid- my country decor era.
Times have changed and country is long gone from my home. So this weekend I brought it out from storage in the basement and ripped off the red plaid and painted it "Mill Springs Blue".
I have plans to make some pillows for it and leave it blue until the next decorating trend comes around.
Sorry there is no "before" picture- I didn't have access to the camera. While we were taking a photo of the finished bench, the kids thought they needed to play on it.
