The best days around here involve the UPS man. Today was one of those days. He just brought us our brand-spankin’ new line of fabric. Not Volume II or the Cookie Exchange- but the new, new one! The one no one has seen yet. We have to wait a few weeks to show you, but I promise, it’s worth the wait!
Here’s another thing that was worth the wait. Our Cookie Exchange “Home For Christmas” quilt arrived last week from our quilter, Brian. It’s so stinkin’ cute. I mean, really, it’s the happiest Christmas quilt I have ever seen!
Here are some close-ups of some of the embroidery blocks (and the amazing quilting):
Because we didn’t have 12 names, a couple of our blocks were Christmas words:
If you remember, we had a pre-order period for this quilt a couple months ago. That’s when we only had the digital version. The digital quilt is cute, but it doesn’t do the real thing justice.
Many of you placed your order during that pre-order period based on the digital image. And with all the customization, I have spent the better part of two months getting them ready. They aren’t finished, but we are making progress! And because we have so many things planned (Project Sweetwater, new fabric, Quilt Market), we thought now was the only time we would have to open up another pre-order session. You only have a couple of weeks, though. By April 1st, they will be gone. And when I say gone….I mean gone, gone, gone! Here’s the thing- we won’t have enough fabric to make fabric kits that go with the embroidery blocks. So we are only listing the embroidery blocks (and the pattern). The good news is that the Cookie Exchange fabric will be in stores in May- so you should be able to find what you need. Here is the fabric list:
1 Layer Cake of Cookie Exchange
3/4 yard cream fabric (Bella Solid Porcelain)
1/2 yard for binding
4 yards for the backing
Just as before, you can get all custom blocks, all Christmas word blocks, or a combination of the two. For more information and to order, click here.
Have a great St. Patrick’s Day!
