We know. Spring Chicken is supposed to arrive in the Spring. March is considered spring. Kind of. On March 15 of this year, we had the worst blizzard of my lifetime. Spring definitely wasn’t in the air around here. But March was the time Spring Chicken was set to arrive. And then Covid messes up everything. April is Spring. We were fine with Spring Chicken arriving in April. Nope. Not a chicken in sight. And then May rolled around. Surely we will see the chickens in May………..
Hooray!!! The chickens are here. They might have arrived in the last couple days of May, but we don’t care. They are here!!!! I have never been so happy to see fabric in my entire life. Your wouldn’t think that an almost 90 day delay in a fabric collection would cause so many problems. I’m not talking life altering problems. Maybe I should call them annoyances. But I don’t want to see these annoyances anytime again soon! Please, please, please let Red Barn Christmas be on time…..
Anyway, the arrival of Spring Chicken means one thing for us. Lots of cutting, packing and shipping. We are currently working on quilt kits, orders and Project Sweetwater boxes. As you can image, preparing all our Project Sweetwater boxes is huge job. Luckily, we have a few chicks of our own home from school who can help with the assembly. Even so, it takes a few days to get everything ready to go. We are shipping Project Sweetwater boxes next week. I promise! We are currently in the process of shipping all the Spring Chicken quilt kits- some even went out yesterday. The chicken crisis is almost over. 🙂
In the midst of all the chicken drama, our May Tagged labels recently shipped. Each May, we design a patriotic themed label. Here is the 2021 version:
Our foreign customers got their own version. Here are labels for Australia and Canada:
If you don’t have a subscription and would like to start with the May design, you have until Sunday to sign up. You can do that here.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
