Okay, I know we have been missing for the last few days. Anyone that knows us knows that our life comes to a screeching halt the first week of August. My sister and I grew up showing livestock and this is our favorite week of the year- county fair. Of course, we are way to old to show, but this year has been special- we finally have a child old enough to be in 4-H. Watching my niece Jordan was even better than actually showing myself. I am so proud of her. She worked incredibly hard with her animals all summer. She learned so much and now appreciates the value of all her efforts. Being the proud aunt that I am, I had to show off some of her pictures.
The boys aren't old enough to show, but they still had a lot of fun. Cash opened and closed this gate 3000 times. He still isn't tired of it.
Approximately 45 seconds after this shot was taken, Bryce took a tumble off the fence. Fortunately, the only thing that hurt was his pride.
Okay, back to the real world. Only 51 more weeks to the best week of the year.
To make up for our absence, we are having a new contest! The following wall hanging was featured in the April issue of Quick Quilts magazine.
The pattern was included in the magazine, but we are giving away the actual mini quilt. It looks so pretty in a frame and would be great hanging in your home. The words read "sprout, grow, bloom".
Enter by telling us what your favorite childhood activity was. The winner will be announced next Wednesday. Good Luck!
